• First name, surname

The legal basis for this is Article 6 paragraph 1 letters a) and b) DSGVO, i.e. you provide us with the data on the basis of the respective contractual relationship (e.g. management of your customer/user account, processing of a sales contract) between you and us. In order to process your e-mail address in the event of a purchase via our websites/applications, we are also obliged by legal requirements in the German Civil Code (BGB) to send an electronic order confirmation (Article 6 paragraph 1 letter c) DSGVO).
Insofar as we do not use your data for advertising purposes (see 3.3. below), we store the data collected for the processing of the contract for the duration of the contract and until the expiry of the statutory or possible contractual warranty and guarantee rights. After the expiry of this period, we retain the information required under commercial and tax law for the contractual relationship for the legally specified periods. In order to ensure that no mistakes are made when entering your email address, we use the so-called Double-Opt-In-Procedure (DOI-Procedure): After you have entered your email address in the registration field and given your consent to receive our newsletter, we will send you a confirmation link to the address you have entered. Only when you click on this confirmation link will your email address be added to our distribution list for sending our newsletter. The legal basis for this data processing is article 6 paragraph 1 letter a) DSGVO.
• Newsletter dispatch via MailChimp
Our e-mail newsletters are sent via the technical service provider The Rocket Science Group, LLC d/b/a MailChimp, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA (http://www.mailchimp.com/), to whom we pass on the data you provide when you register for the newsletter. This disclosure is made in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO and serves our legitimate interest in using an effective, secure and user-friendly newsletter system. Please note that your data is usually transferred to a MailChimp server in the USA and stored there.
MailChimp uses this information for sending and statistical evaluation of the newsletter on our behalf. For evaluation purposes, the e-mails sent contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are one-pixel image files stored on our website. In this way it can be determined whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links have been clicked on, if applicable. Technical information is also recorded (e.g. time of access, IP address, browser type and operating system). The data is only collected pseudonymously and is not linked to your other personal data, a direct personal reference is excluded. These data are used exclusively for the statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better adapt future newsletters to the interests of the recipients.
If you wish to object to the data analysis for statistical evaluation purposes, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter.
Furthermore, MailChimp can use this data according to art. 6 para. 1 letter f DSGVO itself due to its own legitimate interest in the demand-oriented design and optimization of the service as well as for market research purposes, for example to determine from which countries the recipients come. However, MailChimp does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them itself or pass them on to third parties.
In order to protect your data in the USA, we have concluded a data processing agreement ("Data-Processing-Agreement") with MailChimp based on the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission to enable the transfer of your personal data to MailChimp. This Data-Processing-Agreement can be consulted at the following Internet address: http://mailchimp.com/legal/forms/data-processing-agreement/ .
In addition, MailChimp is certified under the European Data Protection Agreement "Privacy Shield" and is committed to comply with EU data protection standards.
Note on right of withdrawal
You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by sending a message to email@example.com or by using the unsubscribe option at the end of each newsletter.

As an existing customer of our online shop you will receive regular product recommendations from us by e-mail. You will receive these product recommendations from us regardless of whether you have subscribed to a newsletter. We use the e-mail address you provide during the purchase process to advertise our own goods and/or services similar to those you have already purchased from us as a result of a previous order. The legal basis for this data processing is Art. The legal basis for this data processing is article 6 paragraph 1 letter f) DSGVO.
Notice right of objection
You can object to our product recommendations at any time with effect for the future by sending a message to firstname.lastname@example.org or at the end of each product recommendation e-mail, without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic rates.

• Online presence and website optimisation
• Cookies - General Information
Most of the cookies we use are deleted after the browser session ends (so-called session cookies). These enable us to offer you, for example, the cross-page shopping basket display, in which you can see how many items are currently in your shopping basket and what your current purchase value is. Other cookies remain on your computer and enable us to recognise your computer during your next visit (so-called permanent or session-spanning cookies). These cookies in particular serve to make our offer user-friendly, more effective and safer. Thanks to these files, it is possible, for example, that you will be shown information on the site that is specially tailored to your interests.
Of course you can set up your browser so that it does not store our cookies on your end device. The help function in the menu bar of most web browsers explains how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have your browser inform you when you receive a new cookie or how to delete all cookies you have already received and block them for all others.
Each browser differs in the way it manages the cookie settings. This is described in the help menu of each browser, which explains how to change your cookie settings. You can find these for each browser under the following links:
However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.
Insofar as these cookies and/or the information they contain is personal data, the legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 paragraph 1 letter f) DSGVO. Our interest in optimising our website is thereby considered justified in the sense of the aforementioned regulation.
• Google Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, in the event that IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states which are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on the website activities and to provide further services to the website operator in connection with the use of the website and the internet.
The IP address transmitted by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google.
This website uses Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp()". This enables IP addresses to be further processed in a shortened form, thus excluding the possibility of personal references. If the data collected about you contains a personal reference, this is immediately excluded and the personal data is therefore deleted immediately.
We use Google Analytics to analyse and regularly improve the use of our website. We can use the statistics obtained to improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user. For the exceptional cases in which personal data is transferred to the USA, Google has subjected itself to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework

• Google Adwords
Our website uses the Google Adwords service. Google AdWords is an online advertising program of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google").
On the one hand, we use the remarketing function within the Google AdWords service. With the remarketing function we can present users of our website on other websites within the Google display network (on Google itself, so-called "Google Ads" or on other websites) ads based on their interests. For this purpose, the interaction of the users on our website is analysed, e.g. which offers the user was interested in, in order to be able to show the users targeted advertising on other pages even after they have visited our website. For this purpose, Google stores a number in the browsers of users who visit certain Google services or websites in the Google display network. This number, known as a "cookie", is used to record the visits of these users. This number is used to uniquely identify a web browser on a particular computer, not to identify an individual, and no personal information is stored. The legal basis for this data processing is Article 6 paragraph 1 letter f) DSGVO.
• Google Conversion Tracking
Furthermore, we use so-called conversion tracking when using the Google AdWords service. When you click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie for conversion tracking is placed on your computer/end device. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days, do not contain any personal data and therefore do not serve for personal identification. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to compile conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted in to conversion tracking.
The legal basis for this data processing is Article 6 paragraph 1 letter f) DSGVO.
• Google Tag Manager
We use on our site the service Google Tag Manager of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94.043 USA. With Google Tag Manager, marketers can manage website tags through one interface. A tag is one of marking or tagging a database. However, the Tag Manager itself, which uses the tags, functions without cookies and does not collect any personal data. The tags set up via the Google Tag Manager merely ensure the collection of data which is passed on to the target system. Because the data is only passed on, the system does not collect or store the data itself. The Tag Manager therefore only triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data. For these respective third party providers, corresponding explanations can be found in this data protection declaration. The Google Tag Manager does not use this data. If you have set or otherwise adjusted your cookies to be disabled, this will be respected for all tracking tags used with Google Tag Manager, so the tool will not change your cookie settings.
Google may ask for your permission to share some product information (such as your account information) with other Google products to enable certain features, such as making it easier to add new conversion tracking tags for AdWords. Google's developers also review product usage information from time to time to further enhance the product. However, Google will not share such information with other Google products without your consent.
For more information, please see Google's Usage Policy and Google's privacy notice for this product.
We also use re-targeting technologies from external service providers, such as the pixel from Facebook Ireland Limited. Re-targeting enables us to make our online offer more interesting, tailored to your needs. This enables us to target users with online advertising on our partners' websites who have already shown an interest in our shop and our products. We know from studies that the insertion of personalised, interest-based advertising is more interesting for the Internet user than advertising that has no such personal reference.
For this purpose, a cookie is set, with which interest data is collected using pseudonyms. This information is used to display interest-related advertisements on the websites of our partners. No directly personal data is stored and no user profiles are merged with personal data about you.
You have the option of deactivating the collection of data for the purpose of personalised advertising. A cookie will then be set which permanently prevents the collection of data unless you delete this cookie in your browser specifically or by using the function "Delete all cookies". You can repeat the objection at any time.
Advertising partners/ third party cookies
We work together with advertising partners to make the online offer on our site even more interesting for you. To this end, cookies are also set by our advertising partners when you visit our site (so-called third-party cookies). Information is also stored in the cookies of our advertising partners using pseudonyms about your user behaviour and your interests when you visit our site. In some cases, information is also collected that was collected on other sites before you visited our site. This information is used to display interest-related advertising from our advertising partners. No personal data is stored and no user profiles are merged with personal data about you.
• Social media plug-ins
We use social plug-ins from the social networks Facebook and Twitter on our website on the basis of Article 6 paragraph 1 letter f) DSGVO to make our company better known. The advertising purpose behind this is to be regarded as a legitimate interest within the meaning of the DSGVO. The responsibility for operation in conformity with data protection regulations must be guaranteed by their respective providers.
The purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of data by the respective provider as well as your rights and setting options for the protection of your privacy can be found in the respective data protection information of the provider, which we link to in the following.
By logging out of the social network pages beforehand and deleting the cookies that have been set, you can avoid that social networks assign the information collected about you to your user account with the respective social network during your visit to www.jclay-socks.com. If you do not want social networks to associate the information collected via our website directly with your profile, you must log out of the relevant social networks before visiting our website. You can also completely prevent the loading of the plugins with add-ons for your browser, e.g. with the ScriptBlocker "NoScript", which can be found at: noscript.net .
• Facebook Connect / Login
J.Clay offers the user the possibility to register for the service with his Facebook access (so-called Facebook Connect function). Facebook-Connect is a service of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc. (1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"). An additional registration with J.Clay is then not necessary. For registration, the user is redirected to the Facebook website, where he can log in with his usage data. Thereby the Facebook profile and the service of J.Clay are linked with each other. Through the link J.Clay automatically receives from Facebook the information that the user has agreed to receive (e.g. first name, cash on delivery, email address, profile picture, gender, friends list). We use this information to be able to identify you when using J.Clay.
The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 paragraph 1 letter a) DSGVO.
For further information about Facebook-Connect and the privacy settings, please see the data protection information: www.facebook.com/about/privacy.
This website uses other social plugins from Facebook. These are offers from the US-American company Facebook.
When you visit a page that contains such a plugin, your browser connects to Facebook and the content is loaded from these pages. Your visit to this website can therefore be tracked by Facebook, even if you do not actively use the social plugin function. If you have an account on Facebook, you can use such a social plugin and thus share information with your friends. About You has no influence on the content of the plugins and the transmission of information.
On its Internet pages, Facebook provides detailed information on the scope, type, purpose and further processing of your data. You will also find further information on your rights and setting options to protect your privacy.

The legal basis for this further data processing is Art. 6 paragraph 1 letter c) DSGVO and Art. 6 paragraph 1 letter f) DSGVO.
You have the possibility to get in contact with us in several ways. By e-mail, by telephone, by chat or by post. If you contact us, we use the personal data that you voluntarily provide us with in this context solely for the purpose of contacting you and processing your request.
